MidNight Solutions Email Configuration: Outlook Express
- Start the OutlookExpress application.
- Choose Tools from top menu. This will open a pull-down menu.
- Choose the Accounts option from the pull down menu. This will open a new window.
- Select the Mail tab. This will open another selection window.
- Select the Add button. This will open a pull-down menu.
- Choose the Mail option from the pull down menu. This will open a new window.
- In the Display Name place your name or the phrase you wish to identify this profile for example mid-nightsolutions mail. Select Next for the next screen.
- In the Email Address: field enter your email address: mailaccount@mid-nightsolutions .com. Select Next for the next screen.
- Select POP3 from the pull down menu of Incoming Email Type.
- Enter mail.mid-nightsolutions .com as the Incoming mail server.
- Enter mail.mid-nightsolutions .com as the Outgoing SMTP server. Select the Next for the next screen.
- Activate the Log on using button.
- POP account name: (account given to you)
- Password: (password given to you)
- The Log on with Secure Password Anthentication button is NOT activated. Select the Next for the next screen.
- you may skip the Friendly Name page. Select the Next for the next screen.
- Activate the Connect using my local area network (LAN)Select the Next for the next screen.
- Select the Finished to complete the configuration.
- Select Exit and Logout from the File in the top menu.
- The email address should be available when you start Outlook Express.
